Overview

The European Coordinated Action KDubiq (FET 021321) seeks new challenges for knowledge discovery (data mining) in the fields of ubiquitous computing. The analysis of data in various distributed and ubiquitous environments such as: sensor networks, peer-to-peer networks, embedded systems, mobile computing devices, and grid computing platforms demands new types of knowledge discovery algorithms. Work done in this area is dispersed among several communities and in a very early stage. In order to integrate various fields, it is necessary to establish a common ground.

The 1st European Summer School on Knowledge Discovery for Ubiquitous Computing

The 1st European Summer School on Knowledge Discovery for Ubiquitous Computing offers an introduction to the relevant topics for Ubiquitous Knowledge Discovery (Ubiq. Data Mining) and presents first exemplary approaches to discovering knowledge in distributed and ubiquitous environments under various constraints in computing, storage, communication, and human-computer interaction.
